Frequently Asked Questions

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative process that helps clients clarify goals, identify challenges, build self-awareness, and take practical steps toward personal or professional growth.

What are the benefits of becoming a life coach?

Becoming a life coach offers both personal and professional rewards. As a coach, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping others set goals, overcome challenges, and create positive change in their lives. Professionally, life coaching offers flexibility. You can work independently, build a private practice, or coach within organizations. It is also a scalable career, with the potential to specialize in areas like wellness, career transitions, relationships, or leadership. At Rhodes Wellness College, our training gives you not only coaching tools but also self-awareness and emotional intelligence, so you grow personally while learning to guide others with confidence and integrity.

What Can You Do With a Life Coaching Certificate?

Graduates of our coaching programs are prepared to launch careers as certified life coaches, wellness coaches, and specialized coaches in a variety of fields. You’ll be equipped to work with individuals or groups in private practice, corporate settings, wellness clinics, or as part of interdisciplinary teams. Many of our graduates start their own businesses, join existing coaching organizations, or integrate coaching skills into their current roles in leadership, healthcare, or education.

Will I Learn How to Start a Coaching Business in This Program?

Yes. Our coaching programs include practical training on how to start and grow your own coaching practice. This includes business planning, marketing strategies, legal and ethical considerations, client intake processes, and how to structure your services. We want you to graduate not only as a confident coach but also as a capable entrepreneur who knows how to attract and retain clients.

How can I get accredited with the ICF?

Rhodes Wellness College offers ICF-accredited training hours as part of our coaching curriculum. Upon completing the program, you’ll have the foundational training hours required to pursue your ICF credential through their designated pathways, such as the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) and  PCC (Professional Certified Coach) levels. We also guide students through understanding the ICF’s application process, mentorship requirements, and ethics, so you’re well prepared to move forward with accreditation if you choose to.

However, completing a recognized training program and earning certification through a respected organization like the International Coaching Federation (ICF) adds credibility and professionalism to your practice. At Rhodes Wellness College, our life coaching programs are designed to meet ICF core competencies, helping you build a strong foundation and prepare for certification if you choose to pursue it.
